A letter was mailed early in the year warning the student if he does not maintain an average of 40 marks or above at term exam and over 90% school attendance, the scholarship will be reduced back to Rs.500. Although exam marks are improved, school attendance is unacceptable. Hence the scholarship payment will be reduced to Rs.500. Will evaluate the progress at the end of the year to decide continuation of the project in 2009. From January 2008 project was transferred to an Interim Committee under Pahansila General Coordinating Committee (PGCC) from US West Chapter.

Previous Remarks:
2007 July - December: 36.8 average at the most recent term examination. School attendance is 67%. Need to improve in school attendance and in class work. Pahansila committee will warn the student to improve in both areas (to get average subject marks above 50 and school attendance over 90%) to keep the scholarship for next year. The donor agreed to increase the scholarship amount to Rs.1000 per month from January 2008. The student participated at the meeting held in Dehiattakandiya for Pahansila recipients. Project will be transferred to Interim committee from 2008 January.

2007 January - June: Recommend to continue the scholarship and increase the scholarship amount to at least Rs.1000 ($10) per month.
