Remarks from the Committee (current period): As requested by the donor, extra Rs.1000 were paid to the student from January through May to cover his medical expenses. Student was unable to sit for the 2008 first term exam due to his medical condition. Hence no class report was produced. Second and third term class reports will be produced with 2008 year end reports. School attendance - 63/90 days. From January 2008 project was transferred to an Interim Committee under Pahansila General Coordinating Committee (PGCC) from US West Chapter. Strongly recommend to continue the scholarship in 2009.


Previous Remarks:
2007 July - December: 64.8 average at the most recent term examination. School attendance is 87%. According to the project supervisor, Rumesh is good at class work. However he was unable to attend school for many days as he underwent a surgery due to a kidney ailment. He needs to make frequent visits to Colombo for treatment. Therefore the donors agreed to give an extra Rs.1000 for 5 months to cover these expenses. The mother of the student participated at the meeting held in Dehiattakandiya for Pahansila recipients. Project will be transferred to Interim committee from 2008 January.
