Several musical instruments were donated to Polgollawatte School and Sarana Sevana children's home under Pahansila-Davis Educational Project. These include 8 traditional drums at a cost of $360. Drums bought for Polgollawatte School will be used in their marching band and for dancing classes. 2 drums were bought for the Sarana Sevana music class which was started in 2008.
Several sports supplies were donated to Polgollawatte School under Pahansila-Davis Educational Project. These include a high jump cross bar, stands, volleyballs, nets, and jerseys, track bottoms & shoes for the volleyball team. The total cost was about US$225.
Two new computers were donated to Polgollawatte School under Pahansila-Davis Educational Project. With these, we have donated three computers altogether. Cost of the new computers were about US$750. We are planning to buy several educational CDs and several other accessories for the computer lab in near the future
Pahansila General Coordinating Committee member, Mr. Ishika Lokuge visited Sarana Sevana children's home along with Pahansla administrator Mr. Nandasena Perera to supervise the progress of the projects conducted at the facility. At the time of the visit the music teacher was conducting a class for the children.
