From its inception in early 2006, the US West chapter has grown to sponsor 20 students in within one year. Currently, this chapter is supported by the generous donations of 14 individual donors. A dedicated group of volunteers consisting of two financial administrator and 10 supervisors working from Sri Lanka, and 4 committee members in Portland-Oregon, find donors and raise funds to support needy students in Sri Lanka.
